What is Acudetox?
Acudetox, short for acupuncture detoxification, is a specialized form of auricular (ear) acupuncture developed by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA). At Envision Medical Care in Ripley, WV, we incorporate Acudetox as a complementary therapy within our comprehensive addiction treatment program.
The NADA protocol involves the gentle placement of up to five small, sterile needles at specific points in each ear. These points correspond to areas believed to influence the body's stress response, emotional regulation, and organ function.
